Heather Chesterman

With more than twelve years of public relations and marketing experience, Heather’s results-based account management style, professionalism, resourcefulness and quick wit has always made for PR success. From media outreach, writing and proofreading to strategy and planning, Heather provides her clients with a wide range of marketing activities to help drive PR and internal communications programs.

Heather began her career at Copithorne & Bellows (now Porter Novelli), fine-tuning her media pitching on the Hewlett-Packard printer and scanner accounts. At the client’s request, she had the opportunity to work onsite at HP in Boise, Idaho, serving as an in-house PR representative providing strategic counsel.

In 1998, Heather joined Benjamin Group (now Weber Shandwick) in Irvine, Calif. During her more than six years at the agency she serviced a range of technology accounts – from large enterprises to small start-ups. Heather gained experience in the storage, semiconductor and software markets by managing the account teams for Toshiba Storage (hard disk drives, CD/DVD rewritable drives, servers), Conexant (formerly Rockwell Semiconductor), FrontRange Solutions (makers of GoldMine CRM software) and Wireless Knowledge (a wireless QUALCOMM/Microsoft joint venture).

Since June 2004, Heather has worked as a PR consultant, contributing to the success of clients including Dot Hill, Epicor, EVault (now a Seagate Company), FileNet and Powerwave Technologies. She also continues to support the Toshiba Storage team, stepping in to freelance throughout each year. And, in between PR responsibilities, Heather lends her eagle eye to the corporate communications teams at Robert Half and Protiviti (a global business consulting and internal audit firm, and wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Half International), acting as a proofreader for the corporate/industry materials.

Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
